Payment Options

International medical insurance plans can be extremely flexible when it comes to how payment is made. The policyholder has many options available in regards to the frequency of payment, currency, and the manner which payment is made. Policies can be paid for in any of the following currencies: USD, EUR, GBR, and RMB. Payment can be made through a bank transfer, cash, cheque, or credit card.

Many international medical insurance plans will give you a variety of options when it comes to making payments. You can usually choose to make payments monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. It is important to note that many insurers encourage the use of annual payments and some will increase the premium by up to 7% if you choose make multiple payments for your policy per year. If you choose to pay by credit card, in some cases a plan's premium may be a raised slightly.

In regards to issuing your policy, some insurance companies will allow the policyholder to pay the premiums within a few weeks from the start of a plan, whereas other insurers will not issue the policy until full payment has been made.
