The majority of insurance companies have multinational staff and 24 hour help hotlines, so they will be able to provide assistance to a policyholder at anytime, no matter where they are. In some cases the insurance company will even be able to settle your claim directly with the hospital or doctor. Claims can be settled in USD, GRB, EUR, and RMB so that you don't have to worry about currency fluctuations.
